The Secret of Love and Fear

All your experiences in life run through the filter of your base belief system about life. The secret is in knowing what your base belief system is and seeing if it serves you or not. This is critical because you invoke the law of attraction according to your base beliefs. Every experience in your life is affected including your spiritual growth and religion and the spirituality information you draw to you.

The best judge is, of course, your own experience because your experience is true. It happened. It may still be open to interpretation but it happened and you can reflect on your experience to glean the truth from it.

Our own experiences are the best evaluator of what is true for us. Go to your experience first and see if you can match your experiential truth to the words that are spoken to you or placed before you. Your experience gives you a definitive baseline to guide you.

Here is the dichotomy of this argument. Yes, your own experiences are the best arbiter of what is real for you, but you have to understand that all of the experiences in your life have been influenced by your basic belief system. So even though your experiences form the basis of your truth, those truths are influenced and weighted to conform to your basic beliefs.

Because we are trying to reach clarity on what serves us during this process of life, let us take a quick review of the two basic belief systems available to us. Every human being falls into one of these two basic belief systems that were introduced to us early in our life by our most trusted mentors and advisors, usually our mothers and fathers.

Typically, you were exposed to either the belief that you are separate from all other people and things in this universe or that you are one with all that exists in this universe.

These are the two belief systems that exist in our world today. These two belief systems come to the human experience via our thoughts, just as everything that has ever happened or ever will happen has come to us. All thoughts that come into our arena of thinking are based on one of two emotions. The two emotions from which all thoughts come to us are either love or fear. All thoughts that go through our heads are either love-based thoughts or fear-based thoughts.

Remember, love is the core of what God is. God is love. God is life. God, love and life are interchangeable. The process of life is the process of God experiencing love. If we all lived in the realm of the absolute, the only thoughts we would ever have would be thoughts of love because love is all there is in the realm of the absolute.

But we live in the relative physical world, so in order to know love as an experience we must also come to know the polar opposite of love, which is fear. Fear exists so that we can know and experience love. Is this great symmetry or what?

Once again, if we were residing in the realm of the absolute, from which all things came, we would live under a love-based belief system that says we are all one with everything that exists because everything that exists came from the one source and is part of that one source.

Here in the realm of the relative physical universe, we have another choice. This universe is not absolute. This universe is guided by the laws of relativity that tell us that everything that we know of and can define is known of and defined by what it is not.

In this relative physical universe, we have the choice of another belief system that is not a love-based belief that we are all one. We have the choice of a fear-based belief system that says we are separate from each other, separate from all other things in the universe and separate from God.

These are the two belief systems that are available to us here in the relative physical universe. You are at free will to believe in any manner that you choose. Unfortunately, most of us didn't have much choice in picking out the belief system that we used during the formative years of our life.

Most of the people in the world today inherited the fear-based belief system of separation. There is nothing wrong with that. It is merely what is so.

Because of this worldwide belief that we are separate, we have created a world environment that reflects the fear that is inherent to, and the core of, everything that comes from believing this way. Once again, there is nothing wrong with that, it is just part of the natural consequences of living within a fear-based belief system.

It is "what is so."
