Very rarely can we ask all those old couples still happily married and hear a fairytale right out of a novel because reality is unfortunately more complicated than that. Our friends are always supportive no matter what and we can count on them to catch our tears or anytime we really need someone to help us through bad times. Love takes time to manifest itself. Friends become best friends and even better friends over time and as we change through the years and remain together, every single day we learn more about each other. Sometimes our personal tastes for movies change or we begin to like steak medium-rare instead of well done. Time lets emotions grow big and strong and it also allows him to grow inside.

Men tend to develop emotionally slower than woman and allowing him the time to reach his feelings naturally, set the pace for the relationship to say "I love you" first, and be outwardly comfortable to discuss the future makes it easiest for him to love you without any undue pressure. It will happen in time. The secrets to love and happy endings are in our actions and emotions and how we bring them together.
